POLISH NATIONAL OYAMA PKF SEMINAR 
MASTERING KATA IN TUREK

On January 10-11, 2026, the National OYAMA Polish Karate Federation Kata Seminar took place in Turek, with the participation of around 260 people, including: club heads, technical training directors, referees, candidates for the upcoming master examination in Kraków in 2026, holders of master ranks, and brown belts. 
Under the leadership of Hanshi Jan Dyduch, 9th dan, the training sessions were conducted by leading instructors of our Organization: Saiko Shihan Andrzej Pierzchała, 8th dan, Shihan Paweł Pajdak, 7th dan and Shihan Witold Choiński, 7th dan. 
The Seminar was hosted by the Turek Karate Club, headed by Shihan Włodzimierz Rygiert, 5th dan.
During a formal ceremony, the Head of OYAMA PFK presented Shihan Sławomir Posłuszny, 5th dan (Bydgoszcz), with a congratulatory letter and words of appreciation on the occasion of his 50th anniversary of practicing karate. CONGRATULATIONS, OSU!

Saiko Shihan Pierzchała conducted three training sessions focused on the use of Japanese weapons (Oyama Kobudo) and mastering Kata performed with Tonfa, Bo, and Sai. A separate training session was dedicated to combat techniques and forms - Kumite No Kata 1-3 - with an emphasis on their practical, real-life application.

Shihan Pajdak led instructional and methodological workshops aimed at improving classical kihon and ido-geiko, as well as KIHON KATA 1-8, with detailed interpretation for candidates preparing for the master examination in Kraków in 2026. 
During separate training units, he also presented interpretations and technical details of selected Kata (including KAI HA and KANKU DAI), focusing on judging criteria used in sports competitions. These sessions were intended for heads of training centers, technical directors, and holders of advanced master ranks.

Shihan Witold Choiński conducted two dynamic training sessions dedicated to advanced Kata - SHOTEI and KORYU GOJUSHIHO, highlighting the importance of powerful breathing techniques (Ibuki).

All seminar participants received a training handbook titled ”Advanced Kata of Oyama Karate. Schematics”, authored by Hanshi Jan Dyduch and based on the teachings of Soshu Shigeru Oyama, 10th dan.
