V WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN CANADA

Photo Radosław Dyduch The OYAMA Polish Karate Federation team performed remarkably well at the DAGEKI V World Full Contact Karate Championships in Montreal, with our athletes securing 7 podium finishes. In the most prestigious competition, Full Contact (Knockdown), Inga Fister and Patryk Hebda earned 3rd place in their respective lightweight categories. CONGRATULATIONS, OSU! Photo Radosław Dyduch The Championships, hosted by the Canadian Karate Union, featured participation from numerous karate federations, including Kyokushin, OYAMA IKF, and Kanreikai, representing countries across North and South America, Asia and Europe. The level of sportsmanship at DAGEKI was notably high and evenly matched. Competitors from Canada, Japan, Kazakhstan and Poland set a tone of intensity across the 9 mats. In the Junior Kata competition, our athlete Oliwia Sosin impressed by clinching 1st place in the U16 category. HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS, OSU! Our team in Montreal In the Fighting with Protection (Semi-knockdown) competition, five Polish juniors showcased their skills. Oliwia Sosin U16 and Franciszek Dyduch U16 performed excellently, earning the titles of World Champions after tough duels. Additionally, Jakub Wrzosek U16 secured 2nd place, and Franciszek Stopa U16 claimed 3rd place with impressive performances. CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU, OSU!
