The 26th Polish Oyama Karate Championships in Kumite

The 26th Polish OYAMA Karate Championships in Kumite were held in Rzeszów. The President of Rzeszów, Mr Konrad Fijolek and the President of OYAMA Polish Karate Federation, Hanshi Jan Dyduch took patronage over this event. Tournament was organized by Klub Sportowy OYAMA Rzeszów and its leader Sensei Patrycjusz Mostek 4th dan. Championships gathered 250 competitors from 33 clubs, representing OYAMA International Karate Federation and three Kyokushin federations (including: Tezuka Group, WKB and IKO Nakamura).

Mr Tomasz Kaminski, the Chairman of City Council, Shihan Eugeniusz Stanislawek 7th dan, the President of European Kyokushinkai Tezuka Group and Shihan Andrzej Pierzchala 7th dan, the V-ce President of OYAMA IKF, were also present during the competition. Shihan Pawel Pajdak 6th dan was the head referee. The duties of the mat referees were fulfilled by Shihan Witold Choiński 6th dan, Shihan Rafal Majda 5th dan, Shihan Ryszard Zolty 5th dan, Shihan Bogumil Plewka 5th dan, Shihan Andrzej Tomialowicz 5th dan, Shihan Dariusz Szulc 5th dan, Sensei Danuta Fyda-Granek 4th dan, Sensei Robert Bretner 4th dan, and Sensei Tomasz Mrowiec 4th dan.

Hanshi Jan Dyduch 8th dan thanked the hosts on behalf of the OYAMA PKF for the invitation and presented Sensei Patrycjusz Mostek 4th dan with a special plaque on occasion of the Polish OYAMA Karate Championship. Saturday morning started with Light–contact competitions on two tatami. Same day, afternoon was reserved for Knockdown tournament.

Sunday was planed for the Junior Polish Championships in Semi-knockdown. The winners received trophies sponsored by OYAMA Polish Karate Federation.
