Polish Cup OYAMA TOP

Between November 23-24th 2013, OYAMA Polish Karate Federation organized its 14th OYAMA TOP - Polish Open Oyama Karate Cup in knockdown, semi-knockdown and light-contact. Tournament took place in Lubliniec. The event was organized by Lubliniecki Klub Oyama Karate and its leader Sensei Boguslaw Plewka 4th dan. Hanshi Jan Dyduch 8th dan, took patronage over the tournament. Around 300 female and male fighters, representing 36 clubs, took part in Polish Cup.

Saturday morning started with light–contact competition (10-14 years) on tree tatami. Same day, afternoon was reserved for prestigious OYAMA TOP-knockdown tournament.
Sunday was planed for the Junior and Senior Polish Cup in semi-knockdown competitions.

The opening ceremony was conducted by MrEdward Maniura, the Mayor of Lubliniec and Hanshi Jan Dyduch. The Chairman of OYAMA Polish Karate Federation sincerely thanked the city officials for organizing the Cup as well as for an patronage. Hanshi Dyduch presented his gratitude towards the host of OYAMA TOP – Sensei Boguslaw Plewka 4th dan. Shihan Andrzej Pierzchala 6^th dan, OYAMA IKF director of schooling division was also present during the competition. Shihan Pawel Pajdak 5^th dan was the head referee. The duties of the field referees were fulfilled by Shihan Eugeniusz Stanislawek 5 dan, Shihan Witold Choinski 5^th dan, Shihan Rafal Majda 5^th dan, Shihan Ryszard Zólty 5 dan, Sensei Robert Bretner 4^th dan and Sensei Mariusz Pawlus 4^th dan.

The competition was at very good sports level. The winners of the OYAMA TOP category received nice cups and financial prizes, sponsored by OYAMA Polish Karate Federation. The Cups for the Best Fighters of the OYAMA TOP went to Anna Kolodziej-Plewka from Lubliniec and Roman Misiaszek (Oraczko) from Krakow.   
The tournament was very well organized and conducted with full coverage of regional journalists. Congratulations, OSU!
